Membership
What is church membership?
What is church membership?
It's an expression of commitment to Jesus Christ and to the mission of Grace Bible Church. It is saying "I believe in where GBC is going and I am wholeheartedly committed to it and to following its leaders."
Each member is expected to be nurturing their relationship with Jesus Christ, attending worship services, participating in small group or other fellowship group/growth opportunities and using their times, talents and God-given gifts in ministry.
How do I become a church member?
The first step is to meet with one of our elders or deacons. Afterward, you'll be asked to share your testimony of salvation before the congregation.
Do I have to join the church to worship and participate here?
No, and many ministries are open for anyone to participate. However, anyone who desires to be in leadership, a teaching or Sunday music ministry position must be a member.

Our beliefs
What are the doctrinal positions of GBC?
What are the doctrinal positions of GBC?
We have a church constitution highlighting our beliefs and practices, but you can also explore the About Us link on our website.
Small groups
They are the perfect place to build deep friendships, grow in your walk with God, and be equipped to use your gifts in ministry. They're usually groups of 8 to 30 people seeking personal application of the Bible, who pray for one another and participate in activities together.
What types of groups are there?
GBC has a variety of groups meeting in a three county area throughout the week. There are groups for men, women, parents and teens, study groups and prayer groups. Specific group formation and focus is largely dependent on the ever-changing needs of the body, so if you're looking for something in particular or are feeling led to begin a study, please bring it to the attention of the church office.
How can I get involved?
Feel free to attend a small group meeting of your choosing. You can call the church office for more information or go to our Small Groups page.
Leadership structure
How does it function?
How does it function?
According to a modified elder form of church government by which the congregation affirms the recommendation of elders, votes on a yearly church budget, constitutional changes and property/building transactions.
ELDERS: involved with establishing vision, direction, policy, membership, discipline and fiscal oversight. They also equip volunteer leaders to expand the ministry.
Roles of men and women in the church
We believe God gifted men and women equally in all areas of spiritual gifts. Due to the established principals found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Peter 5:1-7, and Acts 20:28 only men will serve in pastoral/elder leadership positions.
We believe men and women can equally serve in one of the most vital roles in the church; that of a small group leader.
Child dedication
This is a show of commitment on the parent(s) part to raise their child(ren) in a way as to nurture a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Please speak with an elder or call the church office if you would like a child dedication service. These services are scheduled upon request only.
